About my book(s) – by Dan

The real problem: Buying a computer doesn’t include teaching how to use it, and especially, how to keep yourself secure while on the Internet. Most users, out of need, are self-taught. I’m here to teach various important topics to help you run securely, protect yourself online and help you be more productive with your powerful computer. And I’ll help you understand the different computer parts, devices and accessories.

Who this book is for: This book is geared towards those over 50 who did not grow up with computers in the house. That said, this book is helpful to most computer users as the topics are universal and written in simple English without computer jargon. Even tech savvy users should read the chapters on system security. I’m not here to impress you with deep tech-talk using fancy terms you don’t [need to] understand, I want you to say, “Wow, I understood that” and be able to use what I’m teaching. I really do want to impress you, to the point that you want to buy my future books.

This book is not geared to the person who just pulled their first computer out of the box and doesn’t know how to use a mouse. In that regard, this is not computers for dummies. This book is for the person who already has a computer, may use social media such as Facebook™, runs Email, and visits websites whether specific such as online-banking or just surfing the web to see what’s out there. Even buying on Amazon has security issues you should know about. This book assumes you don’t need help turning on your machine.
